Born into a family of musicians, Astrig Siranossian began her studies at age eight at the Lyon Regional Conservatory, continued at the Lyon National Conservatory, and earned concert and soloist master’s degrees from the Basel Conservatory under Ivan Monighetti. After winning first prize at the International Penderecki Competition, she went on to perform as a soloist with leading orchestras. Her partners include Simon Rattle, Martha Argerich, Yo-Yo Ma, Kirill Gernstein, Elena Bashkirova, and Emmanual Pahud. She has performed at the Paris Philharmonic, Vienna Musikverein, Berlin Philharmonic Hall, Colón Theatre in Buenos Aires, and Carnegie Hall. She has been Artistic Director of the Musicades, Adèle Clément, Nadia and Lili Boulanger, and Montrachet Jazz Festivals in her native France. Siranossian teaches at the Paris and Alfred Cortot Conservatories. In 2025, she was honored with a National Order of Merit for her contributions to French cultural life.
