Pablo Barragán is known for his refined sound, craftsmanship, stage charisma and programmatic adventurism. He studied at the Conservatorio Superior de Música ‘Manuel Castillo’ de Sevilla with Antonio Salguero and at the Fundación Barenboim-Said with Matthias Glander. Barragán was Winner of the 2013 Prix Crédit Suisse Jeunes Soliste, and has worked with orchestras such as the Brucknerhaus Orchestra Linz, Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, and Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra under conductors including Anja Bihlmaier and Thomas Dausgaard. A sought-after chamber musician, Barragán has collaborated with musicians such as Elena Bashkirova, Kian Soltani, and the Modigliani Quartet, and has performed at venues including the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg and Wigmore Hall. In 2025/26, he will open the Cologne Chamber Orchestra’s season with Hartmann’s Chamber Concerto and Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto. His latest recordings, Balagan and Szinergia, showcase his creative spirit. Since 2020, Barragán has been a Professor at the Barenboim-Said Academy in Seville.
