Tim Park has performed as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral leader on stages across more than twenty countries. He has served as Assistant Principal Cellist of the Berlin State Opera Orchestra and cellist of the Erlenbusch String Quartet. He has performed as a soloist with the New York Chamber, Baltimore, Detroit, Berlin, and Moscow Symphony Orchestras, collaborating with conductors Vladimir Fedoseyev, David Geringas, and Dmitri Jurowski, among others. Park appears regularly at the Salzburg, Lucerne, Schleswig-Holstein, and Aspen Music Festivals. Born in Korea, he began his musical training at the age of eight. He was accepted into the Juilliard School at eleven, made his concerto debut at thirteen, and his Lincoln Center recital debut at fourteen. He studied music and medicine at Yale University, and earned degrees from the Lübeck Academy of Music and Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin. He plays a c. 1740 Gennaro Gagliano cello.
