Miri Saadon-Shani

Israeli-born clarinettist Miri Saadon-Shani has been a member of the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra since 2014. She has performed under the baton of such conductors as Daniel Barenboim, Zubin Mehta, François-Xavier Roth and Franz-Welser Möst, in venues including Carnegie Hall, La Scala and the Paris and Berlin Philharmonie. With the Divan Orchestra, conducted by Barenboim, Saadon-Shani performs at the Salzburg, Lucerne and Proms festivals. As an active chamber musician, she is a regular guest of the Boulez Ensemble in Berlin, both as a clarinettist and bass clarinettist. She is a graduate of the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music, Tel Aviv University, and completed her Master’s Degree at the Verdi Conservatory in Milan, specialising in Bass Clarinet. In 2018, Miri Saadon-Shani received her Artist’s Diploma at The Barenboim-Said Academy in Berlin.
