Born in Moscow and raised in Paris, Fedor Rudin has been a prizewinner at the Premio Paganini and George Enescu International Competitions, and has appeared as a soloist with leading orchestras, including the Berlin Radio Symphony, SWR Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of Paris, and Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, collaborating with conductors such as Vladimir Jurowski, Tomáš Netopil, Petr Popelka, and Lorenzo Viotti. Alongside his violin career, he has conducted ensembles including the Vienna Radio Symphony, Tonkünstler, Prague Radio Symphony, and Göttinger Symphony Orchestras, and recently made conducting debuts at Vienna’s Konzerthaus, Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie and Tokyo’s Suntory Hall. Rudin is the former Concertmaster of the Vienna Philharmonic, and serves as Artistic Director of the Rencontres Musicales de Chaon Chamber Music Festival and Professor of Orchestral Education in Vienna. He plays a 2023 copy of a Storioni violin by Sylvain Tournaire.
