Itamar Leshem performs internationally as an orchestral musician, chamber musician, and soloist. He performs regularly with the Israel Philharmonic, with which he has appeared throughout Israel, Europe, the US, and South America. As a soloist, he has performed under Zubin Mehta in Israel and on international tours, and has appeared with orchestras in China. During the 2019–2020 season, he served as Guest Principal Hornist of the BBC Philharmonic, and was subsequently appointed Principal Hornist of the Israel Camerata Jerusalem. Leshem studied at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance and with Dale Clevenger at Roosevelt University in Chicago. He has appeared at leading international festivals and concert halls, including the Salzburg Festival, Lucerne Festival, BBC Proms, Carnegie Hall, Colón Theater, and La Scala. He is a member of the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra under Daniel Barenboim.
