Maria Ioudenitch, born in Russia, grew up in Kansas City U.S. where she began playing violin at age three, continuing her studies at the Curtis Institute (New York). At the New England Conservatory she studied with Miriam Fried. She launched her career in 2021 when she was awarded top prizes in competitions including the Ysaÿe International, Tibor International, and Joseph Joachim International competitions, and signed a recording deal with Warner Classics. Together with pianist Kenny Broberg her first album ranges from Schubert, Fanny Mendelssohn and Clara Schumann to Medtner, Strauss and Boulanger. In upcoming concerts she performs Haydn, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Glazunov and Barber concertos and Piazzolla’s Four Seasons of Buenos Aires, while recital programmes include Gershwin, Still, White and Fazil Say. In the coming months she debuts with leading German orchestras and returns to her hometown Kansas City orchestra. Currently she is in the Professional Studies Programme working with Christian Tetzlaff.
