Yulianna Avdeeva won the 2010 Chopin Competition and was a prizewinner at the Arthur Rubinstein Competition and the Concours de Genève. She has performed with orchestras including the Pittsburgh Symphony (Honeck), the Los Angeles Philharmonic (Dudamel), the Baltimore Symphony (Alsop), and the Montreal Symphony (Nagano). Avdeeva has toured Japan in solo recitals and with the Orchestre du Capitole de Toulouse and the Deutsches Symphonieorchester Berlin, and is a frequent performer in the Asia-Pacific region. In 2019, she joined the BBC Scottish Symphony under Thomas Dausgaard at the BBC Proms Japan. A dedicated chamber musician, Avdeeva has toured regularly throughout Europe with violinists Julia Fischer and Gidon Kremer. In association with the Fryderyk Chopin Institute, she has performed with the Warsaw Philharmonic and the National Polish Radio Symphony. Following her recording of the Chopin concertos with the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century and Frans Brüggen (2013), Avdeeva released three albums.
