Yulianna Avdeeva began studying piano at age five at the Gnessin Music School (Moscow) under Elena Ivanova, and later Vladimir Tropp and Konstantin Scherbakov, Dmitri Bashkirov, William Grant Nabore and Fou Ts’ong. She won prizes at the Bremen, Geneva and Arthur Rubinstein competitions. After winning 1st Prize at the prestigious Chopin Competition (Warsaw 2010) she launched her international career. She has collaborated with major orchestras in Europe and North America, under leading conductors such as Honeck, Elder, Dudamel, Alsop, Janowski, Vasily Petrenko, Jurowski and Trevino. The current 2022/2023 season includes her debut at Carnegie Hall, performances with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra under Teodor Currentis in Munich, Hamburg and Vienna. She returns to Japan for concerts in Tokyo, Yokohama and Kyoto, followed by performances with the Frankfort Radio orchestra under Poga, the Sinfonica Nazionale RAI orchestra under Juraj Valča, and the Bergen Philharmonic orchestra under Petr Popelka.
