Born in 2000 in Tel Aviv to a musical family, Bar studied horn with Sharon Polyak and Chezy Nir. He has played with orchestras throughout Israel and participated in the Jerusalem Music Centre’s Outstanding Musicians chamber music programmes, the Young Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and the Luzern and Moritzburg Festival Academy programmes. Prizes include First Prize at the Kfar Saba Wind Competition, with a solo performance with the IPO (Keynote programme) to follow. Bar currently studies with Christian-Friedrich Dallmann in the Universität der Künste Berlin. He plays with the Düsseldorf Symphony and Young German Philharmonic orchestras and is a regular guest player with the Staatskapelle Berlin and serves as Principal Horn in the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra. Later this year he will perform as soloist with the Capella Amadeus in Berlin. Recordings include with the Berlin Staatskapelle and the Berlin Academy of American Music. Bar is a grant recipient of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation.
