Haran Meltzer is Principal Cello of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, with whom he has performed as a soloist under the baton of Zubin Mehta. He has also appeared with the Israel Chamber Orchestra, Israel Camerata Orchestra, Israel Sinfonietta Beer Sheva, Tel-Aviv Soloists Ensemble and Ashdod Symphony Orchestra. As a student, he received scholarships from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation and Zfunot Tarbut Foundation. He was awarded First Prize in the Aviv Competition (Israel, 2018), Davidov Competition (Latvia, 2018) and Gabrielli Competition (Germany, 2019). In chamber music, he has collaborated with musicians including Itzhak Perlman, Miriam Fried, Guy Braunstein, Hagai Shaham, Amihai Grosz, Zvi Plesser, Ohad Ben-Ari and Alon Goldstein. Meltzer plays a cello loaned from the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra with a bow on loan from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation.
