Born in France in 1989 to a family of musicians, Adrien began his studies on piano and viola in Aix en Provence at the age of 4. He entered the Paris Conservatoire at 16, and completed his studies in Leipzig with Tatjana Masurenko, and in Berlin with Tabea Zimmermann. As a student he worked with inspiring musicians such as Seiji Ozawa, Valery Gergiev, Gidon Kremer, Sir András Schiff and Menachem Pressler. In 2016 he was the first classical musician to receive the prestigious Fondation Lagardère grant. He was awarded the Fondation Banque Populaire, and was also supported by L’Or du Rhin and the Safran Foundation awards. He has won international prizes including the William Primrose, the Lionel Tertis and the Johannes Brahms Competitions. He plays a viola by Nicola Bergonzi made in Cremona in 1780, on generous loan from the BOUBOU Music Foundation.
