Recognized for his virtuosity and creativity, Roy Amotz has performed worldwide as a soloist and chamber musician with ensembles such as the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, Geneva Camerata and BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra. He has collaborated with conductors including Daniel Barenboim, Zubin Mehta and Matthias Pintscher, and has appeared in festivals such as Lucerne, Verbier, and Salzburg. Roy’s repertoire spans from the early Baroque to the contemporary and avant-garde. He has premiered numerous pieces, including flute concerti by Amit Gilutz and Hana Ajiashvili. His interdisciplinary project, Fantasies, co-created with culinary artist Asli Hatipoglu, has blended music and taste in more than 30 performances across Europe and Israel. Roy’s acclaimed solo album, To Invoke the Clouds, which was released by Hortus in the spring, brings together works by Bach and contemporary composers performed on modern and Baroque flutes, creating a singular soundscape where tradition and innovation meet.
