Plamena Mangova – Piano

Bulgarian pianist Plamena Mangova’s career took off after she won top prizes at the Paloma O’Shea (Santander), Vittorio Gui (Florence), and Queen Elisabeth (Brussels) competitions. She studied with Marina Kapatsinskaya (Sofia Academy) and Dmitri Bashkirov (Madrid), and graduated from the Queen Elisabeth College of Music (Belgium). She has performed in prestigious venues including the Pleyel Hall and Theatre Champs Élysées (Paris), Berlin Philharmonie, Leipzig Gewandhaus, Auditorio Nacional (Madrid), Palace of Fine Arts (Brussels), South Bank Centre (London), Tchaikovsky Hall (Moscow), Philharmonie Hall (St. Petersburg), Kennedy Center (Washington), Suntory and Kioi Halls (Tokyo), Sejong Center (Seoul) and in Taipei, New Zealand and South Africa. Plamena Mangova has appeared as a soloist under Colin Davis, Myung-Whun Chang, Walter Weller and Emmanuel Krivine, and collaborated with chamber musicians including Boris Berezovsky, Alexander Knyazev, Augustin Dumay, Mihaela Martin, Frans Helmerson, Kolja Blacher and Pascal Moragues.
