Vera Panitch

Veronia (Vera) Panitch was born to a musical Russian family in Copenhagen, and began studying violin with Arkadi Zelianodjevo at the age of five. In 2005, she moved to Seattle, where she continued her studies with Yuriy Mikhlin. Panitch was accepted into the Royal Danish Academy of Music at age fifteen, where she completed her bachelor’s, master’s, and solo degrees. In 2016, she won a position with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra, and in 2022 was named Concertmaster. She has performed as a soloist with the Danish Chamber Orchestra, Reykjavik Chamber Orchestra, and others. In 2025, she became a member of the renowned Henschel Quartet. Panitch has participated in chamber music festivals across Europe, and has won several competitions. She teaches at the Sankt Annae Gymnasium and the Copenhagen pre-conservatory training program. She plays a violin by Enrico Rocca previously played by Oscar Schumsky on generous loan from the Augustinus Foundation.
