Michal Mossek

Michal Mossek began studying horn at age twelve. She graduated from the Israel Arts and Science Academy in Jerusalem and earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and history. In 1992, she studied horn with Dale Clevenger in Chicago, where she also performed with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, and later continued her studies at Indiana University. Following her military service as an Outstanding Musician, she served as Associate Principal Hornist of the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra. In 2007, she became Associate Principal Hornist of the Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion. Mossek has performed with Israel’s leading orchestras and is currently a member of the Israel Contemporary Players. She has appeared at festivals in Israel, Switzerland, and the US, and has participated in workshops of the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra under Daniel Barenboim. She has been a member of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra since 2007.
