Itamar Carmeli

Itamar Carmeli made his solo debut at age fifteen with Finland’s Kuopio Symphony Orchestra. He has performed at the Pierre Boulez Hall in Berlin and Mendelssohn House in Leipzig, and in the Ernen Music Village and Gstaad Menuhin Festivals in Switzerland, Arte Amanti Festival in Belgium, Radio Classique Festival in France, and Mannes Sounds and Cambridge Jazz Festivals in the US. This past season, he gave recitals at Berlin’s Konzerthaus, Vienna’s Ehrbar Hall, and Bonn’s Beethoven House. Carmeli studied at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, Mannes School of Music, and Barenboim-Said Academy. He is currently studying with Sir András Schiff at the Kronberg Academy, and is mentored by Daniel Barenboim. He is a founder of the Maroush Piano Trio, Momentum, a Berlin-based chamber music series, and a new chamber music program at the Julius Stern Institute of the Berlin University of the Arts.
