Jerusalem-born Ido Azrad received a third degree in clarinet from Trossingen University of Music in Germany under Chen Halevi, and specialized in historical instruments. He served as an Outstanding Musician in the IDF. Azrad has performed as a soloist at the Dresden Festival and with the Jerusalem and Be’er Sheva Symphonies, and in recitals and festivals in Europe, the US, Canada, South America, and Korea. He was a winner of the Paul Ben Haim Competition and of competitions at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance and Trossingen University. Azrad is regularly invited to perform with the Israel Camerata Jerusalem Orchestra, Tel Aviv Soloists, and Jerusalem Street Orchestra. He is an ensemble instructor at the Jerusalem Music Centre and a clarinet teacher and Deputy Director of the Conservatory of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance.
