Ori Kam

Ori Kam studied in Israel with Chaim Taub, in New York with Pinchas Zukerman, and with Wilfried Strehle in Berlin. Awards include prizes at the Geneva and Tertis competitions. He made his debut at age sixteen with the IPO under Zubin Mehta, and has since performed as soloist with orchestras such as the National Symphony (USA) and Sinfonia Varsovia. From 2004-6 he was a member of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. A dedicated chamber musician, he is the violist of the Jerusalem Quartet. Independently, he has appeared with leading artists such as Isaac Stern, Daniel Barenboim, Sir András Schiff and Itzhak Perlman. He participates in festivals including Salzburg, Verbier, Tanglewood, Aspen and Schubertiade. In 2007 he released his recording of the Bruch Double Concerto (Berlin Classic), followed by a recording of 12 Fantasies by Telemann. Since 2009 he has held a teaching position at the University of Geneva.
