Miriam Manasherov – viola

Born in 1981, Miriam Manasherov began studying violin at age 8 under Luba Shochat. After graduating from the Thelma Yellin School of Arts, she served in the IDF unit for outstanding musicians as a member of the Rosso Quartet. She began viola studies with Yuri Gandelsman at the Tel Aviv University Buchmann-Mehta School of Music and continued at the Lübeck School of Music under Barbara Westphal. She has participated in masterclasses and festivals such as Schleswig-Holstein, Prussia Cove, Rolanseck and Kfar Blum, and played in orchestras including the Verbier, West-Eastern Divan, Konzerthaus Berlin, Israel Philharmonic and WDR Köln Symphony orchestras. She was among the winners of the chamber music competition of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance and has received scholarships from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation, and the DAAD Foundation, Germany. She currently lives in Israel.
