Marc Bouchkov – Violin

Born into a family of violinists, Marc Bouchkov received his first lessons at age 5, studying with Claire Bernard and Boris Garlitzky. Awards received include the Henri Koch International Violin Contest (1st Prize), the European Young Concert Artists Audition, the Queen Elizabeth Competition, and the Montreal International Musical Competition (1st Prize). Recently he performed with the hr-Sinfonieorchester under Christoph Eschenbach, the Belgian National, the Royal Philharmonic (Liège), the Sinfonica Nazionale RAI under Boreyko, the NDR Hamburg Symphony and the Royal Concertgebouw orchestras. As a chamber musician, Marc Bouchkov has performed in London (Wigmore Hall), Hamburg, Montpellier, Zurich, Colmar, St. Petersburg, and the Heidelberger Spring and Schwarzenberg Schubertiade festivals. He plays a violin made by Jean Baptiste Vuillaume (Paris, 1865) kindly provided by Brigitte Feldtmann.
