Itamar Zorman – violin
Awarded the 2014 Borletti-Buitoni Trust Award, violinist Itamar Zorman is the winner of the 2013 Avery Fisher Career Grant, and the 2011 International Tchaikovsky Competition in Russia. He has performed with the Mariinsky, Israel Philharmonic, Tokyo Symphony, German Radio Philharmonic and American Symphony orchestras, under conductors including Valery Gergiev, Zubin Mehta, David Robertson, James DePriest and Yuri Bashmet, at Avery Fisher Hall and Carnegie Hall (New York), Suntory Hall (Tokyo) and Concertgebouw (Amsterdam). He has participated in the Verbier, Marlboro and Radio France Festivals. He is a member of the Israeli Chamber project, and violinist with the Lysander Piano Trio, winner of the 2012 Concert Artists Guild Competition. Itamar Zorman studied at the Jerusalem Music Academy, Juilliard School, Manhattan School of Music and the Kronberg Academy, working with Sylvia Rosenberg and Christian Tetzlaff. He plays a 1743 Guarneri del Gesù violin from the collection of Yehuda Zisapel.
