François Leleux – oboe
Internationally recognised as a leading oboist, François Leleux has over the past twenty years also developed a significant reputation as a conductor. He regularly conducts at leading concert venues, in repertoire ranging from baroque to newly commissioned works. Recent and upcoming highlights include concerto performances with the BBC Scottish and NHK Symphony orchestras, Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, the Chamber Orchestra of Europe and a return to the BBC Proms with the Aurora Orchestra. As conductor and soloist he has also appeared with the Camerata Salzburg, Norwegian Radio Orchestra and the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris. Future projects include a residency with the Heissischer Rundfunk Frankfurt Radio Orchestra which includes his conducting debut with the orchestra as well as the premiere of a new concerto by Michel Jarrell, invitations from the Zurich Tonhalle Orchester, the Tonkünstler-Orchester Niederösterreich, and tours with the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra and Les Vents Français.
