Eran Borovich – Double-bass

Israeli-born Eran Borovich studied in Tel Aviv with Gabriel Vole, and in Berlin with Rainer Zepperitz and Michael Wolf. He participated in masterclasses with Ludwig Streicher, Klaus Stoll, and Dorin Marc and received scholarships from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation. He was a Ferenc Fricsay scholar and a member of the Deutsches Symphony Orchestra and West-Eastern Divan Orchestra. He has played with the Berlin Philharmonic, Israel Philharmonic and Valencia Opera orchestras, under conductors including Mehta, Rattle, Maazel and others. Since 2012 he has been a member of the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra. Eran Borovich is devoted to new music, and has performed with ensembles such as Ensemble Modern, Kammerensemble Neue Music Berlin, Israel Contemporary Players, Ensemble Nikel and Ensemble Meitar. He has collaborated with and performed new works by composers such as Pierre Boulez, Mauriçio Kagel, Peter Eötvös, George Benjamin, Wolfgang Rihm and Brian Ferneyhough.
