Danny Erdman – Clarinet

Danny Erdman’s teachers included Eva Wasserman, Ron Selka, David Shifrin and Matthias Muller. He was a recipient of an America-Israel Cultural Foundation scholarships and served for three years in the Israel Defence Forces unit for outstanding musicians. From 2007-2015 he was Principal Clarinet of the Israel Chamber Orchestra and is currently Principal Clarinet of the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra. He has performed both as a soloist and as a chamber musician in Israel, Europe and the USA. The youngest artist to perform at the first EuroCass convention in 1997, Danny has also participated in festivals such as Ostend, Paris, Sarasota and Aspen. He holds music performance degrees from Tel Aviv University, Yale University and the Zurich School of Arts. A keen player of chamber music and of new music, Danny is a member of the Israel Contemporary Players, and a founding member of the Tel Aviv Wind Quintet.
