Alexander Sitkovetsky – violin

Moscow-born Alexander Sitkovetsky made his concerto debut at age 8. He moved to the UK to study at the Menuhin School where he performed duos with Lord Menuhin and under his baton. Chamber music awards include first prize at the Trieste Duo Competition (2011) with pianist Wu Chan, and the Mecklenberg Chamber Music prize for the Sitkovetsky Trio (with Wu Chan and cellist Richard Harwood). He has appeared with prestigious orchestras throughout Europe under leading conductors, including a highly acclaimed series with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at London’s Royal Albert Hall. Last year he made his debut with the Nippon Symphony Orchestra (Japan), BBC Scottish Symphony, Riga Sinfonietta, Poznan Philharmonic and Orquesta Filarmonica de Bolivia orchestras. Alexander Sitkovetsky plays chamber music regularly with the Razumovsky Ensemble and the RARO Ensemble, and with leading musicians such as Maisky, Jansen, Clein, Le Sage, Rachlin and Brovtsyn.
