Nikolaj Znaider
violin
Nikolaj Znaider is a versatile musician who regularly performs and conducts with leading orchestras and musicians as soloist, chamber musician and conductor. In the coming seasons he has been invited to conduct the Dresden Staatskapelle, Munich Philharmonic, Israel Philharmonic, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France and Los Angeles Philharmonic orchestras. An exclusive RCA Red Seal artist, Znaider has just released his recording of the Elgar violin concerto with the Dresden Staatskapelle under Sir Colin Davis. This acclaimed performance marks the centenary of the Elgar concerto played on the same violin which was used by Kreisler himself, at the premiere conducted by the composer. Nikolaj Znaider plays the Kreisler Guarnerius del Gesu violin, 1741, on extended loan to him by the Royal Danish Theatre, through the generosity of the Velux Foundations and the Knud Hǿjgaard Foundation.to the official website
